MainStreet along with the Healing Waters Trail, has been working hard to place 9 new benches in the downtown area, along with 10 new trash receptacles, and 8 new planters. The transformation of the four intersections was accomplished with the help of the YCC Summer employees, the City of Truth or Consequences, and multiple volunteers. The modern seating and receptacles were purchased through the Healing Waters Trail grant and were chosen with the help of MainStreet’s Design committee. The planters were repurposed from the old waste containers downtown, a new paint job, some planting soil and a few new flowers have turned something old new again. A special thanks goes out to Arizona Cafe, Davis-Fleck Pharmacy, Bank of the Southwest, United State Post Office, Geronimo Springs Museum, and a few volunteers who are continually watering and caring for the planters. Thank you to all who have made this project a success!
